GMV’s distinguished participation at SpaceOps
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, was the venue for the 17th International Conference on Space Operations (SpaceOps), held from March 6-10, 2023. This conference served as the location for exchanging knowledge about methods, trends, and tools, responding to the need to increasingly leverage the capacities and cost-benefit of space mission operations.
SpaceOps, as a technical forum for ground system and space mission operations, brought together scientists, academics, operators, agency representatives, and research institutes from throughout the world to explore every aspect of space mission operations, including areas like robotics, human aspects, Earth orbit, and deep space.
GMV was present with extensive representation in the panels that took place. Eleven papers were accepted to be presented during the conference. Their quality was made clear given the considerable interest among attendees.
Additionally, GMV was well represented in the exposition area, presenting clients and visitors with the latest updates to GMV’s products, including control systems for satellites, planning, orbital control, payload management, cyber security, and operation support.
The forum presented the International SpaceOps Award for Outstanding Achievement to the OPS-SAT mission team, the world’s first mission dedicated to improving mission operations and testing new satellite control technologies, which GMV participated in by developing the onboard software for the mission. This award recognizes the mission’s exceptional contributions and hard work to overcome the difficult conditions.
