Home About GMV Get to Know the Company R&D+i Aid Strategic 2021-2023 plan in ITS Consolidation of a world leader Print Share GMV's strategic plan for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) sector for the 2021-2023 period is aimed at developing new products for public road and rail transport operators, private transport, and automotive manufacturers. This plan is part of the line of Strategic R&D Plans financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Junta de Castilla y León, through the Castile and Leon Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE). Financial support from the European Union has been fundamental to the successful development of advanced technological solutions focused on the management and operation of public transportation and urban mobility. Objectives of the Strategic Plan:Design and develop a new family of on-board products for advanced ITS solutions. These systems are designed to cover a wide variety of needs, such as: Service control and management, passenger information systems, video surveillance and advanced driving, validation and sale of transport tickets.Enhancing the ITS_SUITE intelligent transportation systems platform, both in its back-office and on-board components, with the aim of adding new features and optimizing existing ones. Specific objectives include: Optimization of public transportation; advanced features for SAE, SVV, SIU, and CCTV in buses, streetcars and railroads; simplified customization and maintenance; modernized Human Machine Interface (HMI).Modernization of the Palview platform, with the incorporation of advanced features that improve the operational efficiency of ITS solutions in the SaaS business model. These new features optimize fleet management, car-sharing, PAYD insurance, and other key services.Outstanding ResultsDevelopment of High and Medium Range Onboard Equipment: We have developed general purpose equipment (EP200, TV100, DTD200) that adapt to various ITS applications, standing out for their versatility, performance, and configurability, which will enable them to meet the most demanding market requirements. This equipment has high performance and reliability, with high mean time between failures (MTBF), which significantly reduces maintenance costs for operators. In addition, the design minimizes obsolescence through the use of advanced components from the automotive industry, guaranteeing a useful life in excess of 15 years. Our equipment is designed with a modular, robust, and aesthetically appealing approach, complying with the most demanding European standards for electronic equipment in vehicles.Development of the ITS SUITE platform by integrating various ITS features, such as operation support systems, user information systems and video surveillance systems, providing a complete solution that meets the operational and security needs of public transport operators, authorities, and passengers. The platform allows agile customization for each client, facilitating the implementation and administration of the system throughout its life cycle, minimizing intervention in the source code. In addition, the redesign of the interfaces has improved the user experience, offering more efficient and secure operation.Modernization of the Palview platform, thanks to this enhancement, Palview has consolidated its position in the market, outperforming other existing ITS solutions. The platform now offers a flexible, secure, and highly competitive solution for fleet management and mobility services, positioning GMV at the forefront of the industry. The achievement of these strategic plan objectives has enabled GMV to consolidate its position as one of the leaders in intelligent transport systems in core areas. This leading position was critical to securing participation in major projects both at home and abroad, strengthening GMV's presence in strategic markets and making a significant contribution to the success of public transport and security initiatives around the world.
