GMV is present at the most important technology events in its sectors
The Polytechnic University of Madrid awards GMV for the research and innovation collaboration with this university, within the framework of its 2021 edition of the UPM Research Program.
Throughout the company's history, it has maintained a close relationship with the UPM, by building and diversifying more and new avenues of research and innovation.
This award is therefore recognition of GMV's firm commitment to continue the strong relationship forged with UPM, which is geared to our aim of innovating for progress.
GMV was recognized at the 10th edition of the Excellence Awards by the German Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AHK).
GMV was given the award in the “Responsible Industry, Innovation and Production” category, for its commitment to technological innovation and progress, highlighting the sustainability-related projects MySustainableForest, which has a portfolio of products and services related to responsible forest management, and FirEUrisk, for the evaluation and reduction of risk of forest fires in Europe and adaptation to future fire regimens. As well as the projects Bewats, Plastic-Less Society and Atin-Blueco, focused on monitoring plastic waste in the oceans to reduce their environmental impact.
GMV received the 2019 Channel Partner Award in the Security in Critical Aerospace Environments category. These awards recognize the best trajectories in the ICT channel. The award was given by technology partners Ireo and Sophos, recognizing the work of the company in the development of the Control Segment for Galileo, the European global satellite navigation system.
Ana Herrera, head of Smart Cities business development at the GMV subsidiary dedicated to intelligent transportation systems, received the Women in Traffic Management award from the Association of Traffic Engineers and Mobility Technicians.
The award recognizes the efforts of women in the government, universities, and private businesses who have worked intensively in the area of traffic, especially promoting traffic engineering in Spain.
As part of the 2019 Securmática Awards, GMV was recognized with one of the SIC awards for the Galileo project, in which cybersecurity is the key element.
HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council), one of the leading executive leadership organizations worldwide, comprised of senior executives for the technology and business sector, recognized Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, Ggeneral Manager of GMV Secure e-Solutions, as one of the 50 most influential professionals in the technology industry in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.
The Sensing4Farming project, in which GMV is a technology provider, received the award for the Project or Initiative with Technological Innovation for Productivity Improvement.
The journal Avion Revue Internacional recognized GMV with the Aeronautical Sector Excellence Award, in the Space category, for the maintenance and evolution contract for the Ground Control Segment of the Galileo satellites, which the company was awarded recently.
The Managing Director of GMV Secure e-Solutions, Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, was recognized by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) as one of the most influential and noteworthy professionals in the ICT sector in Latin America.
The Spanish Health IT Society (SEIS) recognized the work of the HARMONY project, a European project with GMV big data technology, at the 24th edition of the National IT and Health Awards.
At the 32nd edition of the International Security Awards organized by Seguritecnia, GMV received the Research (R&D) Activity Trophy for the VirtualPAC project, a secure deployment, management, and operations solution for control systems used in an industrial plant's operation and control network.
The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) recognized HEXIN, the big data platform for epidemiological and clinical data processing at the Galician Health Service (SERGAS) in the e-Health Solutions Innovation category. Developed with GMV technology, the project is pioneering in the region of Galicia, offering more than 300 healthcare professionals information made up of preset reports with clinically relevant statistical data and a total of over 800 corporate documents in the public domain.
