On 1 February GMV’s Tres Cantos head office received a visit from the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Airforce (Jefe del Estado Mayor del Ejército del Aire: JEMA), General Francisco Javier García Arnaiz, accompanied by the personnel of his cabinet and Plans Division.

After some words of welcome from Ricardo Torrón, GMV Director, the visit was organized in several parts. GMV’s CEO, Jesús B. Serrano first gave an outline of the company’s main business lines, following which the General Manager of Homeland Security and Defense, Manuel Pérez Cortés focused on GMV’s activities with the Ministry of Defense and also future business prospects.

In the second part of the visit GMV personnel showed the Chief of Staff of the Spanish Airforce several up-and-running systems, such as the systems developed for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) ATLANTE; the unified fire-support system, TALOS; the developments for the international MAJIIC program [Multisensor Aerospace/Ground Joint ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) Interoperability Coalition]; as well as GMV’s various inhouse cyberdefense and cybersecurity solutions.

The company visit then continued with a presentation of GMV’s space activities, focusing on GMV’s leadership as supplier of ground control systems for operators of commercial telecommunications satellites, satellite navigation and also its various space-robotics developments.

The JEMA showed a keen interest throughout, not only in the growth of GMV’s business but also the company’s proven technological capacity in the various markets it trades in, as well as its unflinching commitment to quality and competitiveness.
