GMV has awarded the School of Medicine of the University of Cartagena, Colombia, the international prize for the “Best healthcare innovation, technology and science project” for its e-health work applied to social cohesion and development called: “Technological strategies for improving the management of the healthcare service and institutions in the Department of Bolivar, Republic of Colombia”.

This award recognizes the University of Cartagena Medicine School’s support for and adoption of scientific and ICT breakthroughs applied to healthcare.

The telemedicine research group of the University of Cartagena, led by doctor Fredy Pomares Herrera, aims to bring specialist medical attention to far-flung areas of Bolívar. GMV’s antari platform has proved it to be possible for a patient in an out-of-the-way area or a prison to be attended by a specialist doctor without moving from their homes or the prison.

GMV has a wealth of specialist experience in setting up solutions based on advanced and groundbreaking technology. One of the prime examples is its e-Health platform antari, which seamlessly blends conventional medical practices with telemedicine. Remote diagnoses can be carried out by sharing and managing clinical information in a swift and intuitive way while retaining the principal working methods of conventional medicine. Together with EVER SALUD, GMV has also recently set up the Kids Care in-school telemedicine pediatrics network for both primary and secondary schools.
