GMV's Aerospace technologies stand out at the Beja Air Show

On June 17th and 18th, on the occasion of the 71st Anniversary of the Air Force, the Beja Air Show, an open and free-air festival, was held. This event is a unique opportunity for visitors to appreciate the beauty of aviation by witnessing aerial demonstrations and acrobatic performances. But the dynamics of the event also involve interactive activities with virtual reality glasses and flight simulators, exhibitions of national and international aircraft, and various other products from the region and the aerospace sector.

At GMV's booth, Hugo Reis, GMV's Homeland Security and Defense Project Manager, had the opportunity to present the SAFETERM solution. A system that leverages state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technologies to enhance safety in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) emergencies, ensuring safer flight termination.

José Neves, General Manager of GMV's Defense and Security sector in Portugal & President at AED Cluster Portugal, was one of the speakers at a conference, discussing various projects and perspectives for the future of the Portuguese space and aeronautic sectors.

The presence of young engineering students at the event highlighted the industry's appeal and the enthusiasm for technological advancements. It was an excellent opportunity for these aspiring professionals to learn more about GMV and its contributions to the aerospace field.
