GMV presents its solution for autonomous outdoor robots at Rey Juan Carlos University

GMV presenta en la URJC su solución de circulación autónoma para la robótica de exteriores

The ROSCon Madrid 2023 event took place recently at Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), and it served as an epicenter for robotics experts and enthusiasts, who came together to explore the latest developments related to Robot Operating System (ROS). GMV was represented at the event by Ángel C. Lázaro, who is the Robotics and Automation Manager in its Industry sector. He presented the company’s uPathWay solution, which attracted a considerable amount of interest from those in attendance.

uPathWay represents a significant advancement in the areas of automation and efficient management of autonomous industrial robots designed for work in outdoor settings. Based on leading-edge technology, this solution is revolutionizing the way in which these robotic industrial vehicles are able to operate, by enhancing automation as well as safety for work in outdoor settings such as manufacturing sites and agricultural fields.

GMV’s detailed talk on uPathway at ROSCon Madrid 2023 also included a demonstration of how it can be integrated with other technologies such as artificial intelligence and the latest communication systems. Strategic integrations of this type are improving decision-making and allowing for accurate route optimization to increase efficiency, with no need to modify an outdoor site’s existing installations or add any new ones.

uPathWay has also been conceived as a versatile solution, with cross-cutting applications in a wide range of industries, from logistics to agriculture. Use of this solution provides a significant increase in operational optimization, along with a notable degree of risk reduction in a variety of industrial and commercial settings, such as those involving inspection tasks and transport of materials.

GMV’s presentation on uPathWay concluded with an overall perspective on how this innovative form of technology is shaping the future of self-driving robots designed to operate in outdoor spaces. This presentation made it easy for those in attendance to see the how uPathWay can be a game changer, by combining advanced automation and autonomous movement to improve efficiency and safety in multiple industries.
