Mariano J. Benito internationally recognized by Cloud Security Alliance in its Ron Knode Service Award

The CISO of GMV Secure e-Solutions has won Cloud Security Aliance (CSA)’s Ron Knode Service Award on the strength of his key work in the development and implementation of Secure Cloud controls and models. The Spanish CSA chapter has brokered the translation into Spanish of the CSA Guide, Cloud Control Matrix and the 2013, 2014 and 2015 reports of the State-of-the-Art of Cloud Computing in Spain, among other work carried out by the chapter.

Mariano J. Benito has worked for GMV throughout his whole career. He boasts the certifications CISA, CISM, CGEIT by ISACA, CISSP by (ISC)2, ISO 27001-LA by AENOR and BS 25999-LA by BSI. In 2004 he became Security Manager of GMVSecure e-Solutions, directing ISO 27001 certification of the company’s ISMS (from 2004 onwards). In March 2010 he also set up and certified the company’s business continuity management system under ISO 22301. He is also author of the first Spanish analysis of cloud security, which came out in 2009. He has been coordinator of the Spanish CSA Chapter since 2012.
