GMV destaca avances en la nueva industria digital y colaborativa en Atlas Collaborate Zaragoza

At the Atlas Collaborate Zaragoza event organized by Atlas Tecnológico, GMV’s Industry Sector Manager, Miguel Hormigo, gave a presentation on the progress made in the software-enabled digital industry, highlighting innovation and collaboration as fundamental pillars.

Hormigo shared examples of public-private collaboration projects coordinated by GMV that are working with data spaces, citing AgrarIA in the agri-food sector and TARTAGLIA in the healthcare sector. Both projects are financed by the R&D Missions in Artificial Intelligence program of the State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation using funds from the Recovery, Resilience, and Transformation Plan.

These projects are in line with the recent publication of grants from SEDIA, which will allocate €150 million to promote the creation of demonstration centers and the implementation of use cases of data spaces in strategic sectors of the economy. Hormigo highlighted the relevance of these projects in the context of SEDIA’s Sectoral Data Spaces program, which seeks to promote the development of data spaces projects in strategic sectors, in line with the European data strategy and the European data and data governance regulations. These initiatives aim to create a single market for data and strengthen the position of companies at the forefront of the digital industrial revolution.

He also presented some success stories that illustrate how technology is changing the way companies approach digitization. Among the examples cited were the projects in which GMV is using the uPathWay solution, an innovative combination of satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) functionality, cloud robotics, and artificial intelligence to perform tasks more efficiently and sustainably through autonomous mobile robotics, setting a milestone in automation and data management.

Hormigo went on to highlight other key solutions related to virtualization, such as VirtualPAC, which offers secure deployment and efficient management of industrial control systems. He also presented the ubic VMI solution, which allows the creation of a virtual android on any smartphone, modeled on a private cloud infrastructure to guarantee data security and versatility in the life cycle of the devices.
