On the strength of its various international projects already up-and-running or in the pipeline GMV has become a worldwide benchmark supplier of intelligent transportation systems. Featuring prominently on GMV’s stand (9A29A) will be some of the equipment making up its new family of Ticket Vending Machines (TVM). These have been designed to allow transport users themselves to buy their own single-journey tickets and buy or recharge farecards at stations, bus-stops or on the vehicles themselves, taking in any means of transport. Another new feature presented will be the CTC-212 for validation of contactless cards and tickets with barcodes or Quick Response (QR) codes. The unit can be installed at bus-stops or on platforms, operating as a standalone or interfaced with access controls like turnstiles, gates, etc. The stand will also display GMV’s latest ticketing solutions, such as onboard ticket validators operating in check-in/check-out mode and controlled by means of GMV’s advanced fleet management system, installed in Poland (Nowy Saçz and Szczcecin); dual onboard ticket validators (for contactless smartcards and paper tickets), installed in Poland (Nowy Saçz); and the recent electronic fare-collection equipment set up on Granada’s new High-Capacity Line (Línea de Alta Capacidad: LAC), which sees to the sale and validation of contactless farecards and barcode-based transfer to and from any other city line, with the additional feature of dynamic real-time data mining by means of a web reporting application. GMV will also present its Integral Transport Systems, with technological solutions taking in all aspects of the planning, control and management of public transport: new advanced fleet management systems combining client-server environments with web environments in combination with onboard equipment designed and manufactured by GMV; onboard video-surveillance systems based on recording equipment and online transmission of video and IP cameras; ridership counting systems, etc, all integrated with ticketing systems. In the field of passenger information GMV will present its real-time multimedia dynamic onboard information systems (INFOBUS) as well as its bus-stop and station information systems plus information by way of websites and smartphones. In systems of this type GMV has won new worldwide client references in such places as Szczecin (Poland), Kronoberg (Sweden), Kuantan (Malaysia), Guadalajara (Mexico), Fez (Morocco), new BRT in Jakarta (Indonesia), among others.
