This innovative software not only represents an industrial breakthrough, but also promises to revolutionize the way we think about process automation for improved efficiency. What makes uPathWay so compelling for the industrial sector is its ability to integrate different technologies, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, and its deployment agility, which eliminates the need for prior mapping and RTK antenna deployment. This synergy allows the solution to operate in both indoor and outdoor environments, from factories to open field harvesting, making it flexible and adaptable to a wide range of industrial applications. During the event, GMV wowed the crowd with several demonstrations outside the Fira de Barcelona, showing how uPathWay can perform tasks autonomously through a user-friendly web interface for managing robots, missions, routes, alarms, and reports, centralizing fleet and facility management. This flexibility is critical as it directly addresses the challenges faced by many key sectors such as agri-food, energy, and logistics. The efficiency and accuracy that uPathWay delivers across all applications speak to its potential to optimize industrial processes. Ángel C. Lázaro Ríos, Robotics and Automation Director for GMV’s Industry Sector, took part in the panel discussion hosted by AER Automation, adding significant value to the event. During the discussion, Lázaro provided concrete examples of how GMV is applying uPathWay in real use cases, such as the Advanced SUbstation MOnitoring (ASUMO) project. This innovative initiative, led by Elewit and Red Eléctrica (Redeia companies), seeks to optimize the remote management of electrical substations using technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and data analytics. As a project partner, GMV is leading the automation of electrical substation inspection operations, deploying a quadruped robot to perform a range of tasks, including reading analogue indicators, generating thermographic reports, detecting oil leaks, and taking discharge measurements. All in all, GMV’s contribution to the Advanced Factories event confirms its commitment to innovation and the practical application of cutting-edge technologies in the industrial sector. With uPathWay at the forefront, GMV is demonstrating its ability to lead the digital transformation of the sector, offering solutions that not only increase efficiency, but also open up new possibilities for the industry of the future.
