GMV has taken part as exhibitor at the 21st International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO 2013, held from 2 to 5 September 2013 in Kielce, Poland.

This is the defense sector’s most important event in Eastern Europe. It serves as a matchless forum for potential clients and suppliers and showcases the latest military technologies, armaments and products for the army.

The event, inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, has generated growing interest not only among exhibitors but also among visitors and the defense industry.

As a tried and trusted supplier of international defense organizations and armed forces, GMV exhibited its solutions for system engineering, design, development, integration and maintenance. Pride of place on GMV’s stand went to the eForce Fire C4ISTAR system, a project for the planning, management and execution of all fire support that might be needed by a brigade: field artillery, mortar fire, naval fire support and air support. Another standout exhibit was the Landing Craft Command and Control System (eForce SCE), for control, monitoring and coordination of the whole ship-to-shore phase of landing craft and amphibious vehicles during amphibious operations. These systems give real-time information on the development of maneuvers, facilitating interaction between all units involved and enabling commanders to intervene at any time to deal with any incident.

GMV also displayed other command and control and surveillance and reconnaissance systems it has developed for the Spanish MoD and international agencies such as the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union (FRONTEX, shortened from the French Frontières extérieures).

Another of GMV’s inhouse developments on show at the fair was Sócrates, its integrated access-control system, with presence detection, surveillance and perimeter control features. This system, a real boon to companies, is designed to control and supervise access to different zones of multiple centers, keep a check of employees’ working hours and manage integral site security.

GMV’s latest developments in avionics systems were also on display, including its participation in the ATLANTE program (development of an unmanned aerial vehicle – UAV – for ISTAR operations), in which GMV is responsible for the flight control computer (FCC), one of the most critical pieces of equipment of the whole project, seeing to the aircraft’s navigation, guidance and control. GMV is also responsible for the automatic takeoff and landing system (ATOL) of the ground control station.

GMV’s stand was visited by some of the event’s most distinguished guests, such as representatives of Poland’s Inspectorate for Innovative Defense Technologies, the Polish Army, the forensic laboratory of Krakow police, the Military Technology University and the National Polish Security Office.
