Certificate of recognition of GMV’s digital avionics work

In the week running from 5 to 9 October Colorado Springs hosted the 33rd Digital Avionics Systems Conference,  DASC, under the title “Designing an AIR Transportation System with Multi-Level Resilience”.

DASC is one of the most important conferences in this business area, it attracted all the major players (e.g. Airbus, Boeing, NASA, DLR, GE Avionics, Thales, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins and many worldwide Universities).

GMV participated with a paper entitled “IMADE: Integrated Modular Avionic Development Environment” in the “IMA Configuration, Modelling and Integration” session. The authors, Bruno Tavares, Ricardo Alves and João Cintra, were awarded the Certificate of Appreciation for the Best Paper of Session.

The presentation focused on the model-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for IMA that aims to become the basic framework for developments in this area.

GMV’s aeronautics activities take in a wide range of areas. Its particular expertise in integrated modular avionics (IMA) has enabled GMV to develop complete onboard hardware and software systems. Special mention must go to its work in systems engineering, critical real-time software development under the strictest quality and certification regulations and avionics and equipment hardware design and integration.

GMV’s inhouse software, for example, is now flying in Eurofighter and Airbus Military C-295 and A-330 MRTT aircraft, in Eurocopter´s Tiger HAD, NH-90 and Dauphin, and in Augusta Westland AW-101.
