GMV takes part in the "Global Robot Expo"
Madrid recently hosted Global Robot Expo, the first international tradefair on robotics technology, held in Pabellón de Cristal (Crystal Pavilion) of the Madrid park called Casa de Campo.
The event, in which GMV took part, attracted the world’s top robotics experts. As well as showcasing some of the world’s most cutting-edge robots, Global Robot Expo also put on forty lectures from top international experts.
Juan Carlos Llorente, GMV’s Robotics Business Development Manager, participated in the first day of the event in the professional robotics section to deal with robotics solutions for security and monitoring purposes, two service robotics subsectors that have now chalked up countless success stories and solutions of proven added value.
Several application examples were displayed during the presentation as well as GMV-developed projects harnessing the new technologies available nowadays at an affordable price, such as intelligent autonomous navigation or automatic data processing.
As well as various lectures and chats the expo also ran an exhibition space where the robotics industry could showcase its latest breakthroughs and researchers their most eyecatching achievements, all accompanied by robotics-technology leisure activities such as robot fights and competitions.
Global Robot Expo has thus become Spain’s biggest interdisciplinary robotics tradefair, attracting nearly 200 accredited Spanish and international media participants and a daily turnout of over 1500. This expo aims to become a benchmark within Europe’s robotics sector, bringing manufacturers, researchers, investors, integrators and potential clients into contact.
