GMV fires up a passion for technology at e-skills for jobs 2015
GMV has taken part in the initiative e-skills for Jobs Spain 2015, held for the fourth time this year by AMETIC, the Multi-Sector Association of Electronics, ICT and Digital Contents Firms.
e-SKILLS for Jobs in Spain is part of the overall e-SKILLS for Jobs in EU, an initiative of the European Commission’s DG Enterprise and Industry involving over twenty countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cypress, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom). The aim is to create a Europe-wide platform that brings together the main public and private organizations in order to raise awareness of the need to encourage technological skills amongst youngsters and the unemployed who are looking for a new outlet on the strength of digital training.
Isabel Tovar, Manager of Marketing and Communication of GMV Secure e-Solutions, gave a presentation of GMV’s successful track history to the audience of e-skills for Jobs 2015, most of them students, putting the company forward as an example of a Spanish technology undertaking, capable of carrying out the most groundbreaking technological projects on a world level thanks to a team of bright, highly qualified people who never flag in their search for continual innovation.
We at GMV aim to encourage youngsters’ interest in technology-related careers, which are set to drive our society forward and make it more competitive.
As part of this ongoing commitment, GMV carries out a series of activities designed to nurture budding technology talent and fire up a passion for engineering among youngsters, doing so by promoting visits to colleges and universities where these youngsters can find out about the fascinating activities being carried out there.
GMV is one of the prize-giving jury members of e-skills for jobs 2015 Spain. These prizes will be given out next Saturday, with the presence of the other collaborating firms; Indra, Microsoft, Telefónica and CISCO.
