Recognition of GMV’s innovation prowess

The Cultural Center called Casa de la Cultura Adolfo Suarez, in the Council Square of Tres Cantos, was the chosen venue for the 2nd Business Prize-Giving ceremony of the Tres Cantos Entrepreneur’s Association (Asociación de Empresarios de Tres Cantos: AETC), an organization celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year.

The event, held in November 16, was attended by Juan Pablo Lázaro, President of Fundación CEIM; Javier Beitia, Vice-President of CEIM and President of the Alcobendas Entrepreneurs’ Association (AICA); Jesús Moreno, Mayor of Tres Cantos; Ignacio Redondo, Commercial Manager of the business-competitiveness-promoting organization called Madrid Excelente; local councilors; Luz Mª López, President of AETC and its Governing Board; presidents of other associations, associates and guests.

Among the 6 prize categories, GMV received the Technological Innovation Prize, picked up by Pedro J. Schoch (Director of Corporate Development of GMV), and handed over by Ignacio Redondo. This award recognizes the capacity for innovation and continuous improvement that makes GMV a leader in its sector.

The ceremony wound up with a video commemorating the thirty-year track record and ongoing growth of this Tres Cantos business association. This was followed by a closing speech from Juan Pablo Lázaro, President of the Business Confederation of Madrid (Confederación Empresarial de Madrid) and Jesús Moreno, Mayor of Tres Cantos, who stressed the importance of a sound business fabric as a driver of economic growth.
