Isla Mágica Funfair hosts the event “Beyond the workstation” organized by GMV and Trend Micro
If there is one place where security and safety are vital, it’s a funfair. This was the thinking of Isla Mágica’s ICT executives in sharing the company’s information assurance experience in this event, with the collaboration of GMV and Trend Micro.
The devastating WannaCry cyberattack, which put CISOs and companies around the world on red alert, is still a hot topic in cybersecurity forums and conversations. Against this backdrop Antonio Perea, Business Development manager of Secure e-Solutions Southern region, kicked off this event by analyzing the current state of cyberthreats, quoting facts and figures from reports written by the Industry and Security Computer Emergency Response Team (CERTSI in Spanish initials) and Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE in Spanish initials). In his own words “threats to both companies and individuals have soared exponentially; in 2016 CERTSI had to deal with double the number of the previous year”. He went on, “the figures to hand show that 2017 is maintaining this upward trend”.
Isla Mágica’s system manager, Roberto Giraldo, for his part, stressed the strengths of GMV’s proposal against the other ones weighed up by the company. These strengths include “ease of management and deployment in its computer fleet, including on a mobility basis”.
