FEINDEF 21

GMV took part in the second edition of the International Defense and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF) on November 3-5. The event was held at the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid and was organized by the Spanish Association of Defense, Aeronautical, and Space Technologies (TEDAE) and the Association of Public Administration Contractors (AESMIDE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense.

The company had a stand with its latest developments in defense and security solutions and systems. The GMV stand received important institutional visits, such as the Spanish Army Chief of Staff, His Excellency Army General Amador Enseñat y Berea; Spanish Navy Chief of Staff, His Excellency General Admiral Antonio Martorell Lacave; and Spanish Air Force Chief of Staff, His Excellency Air Force General Javier Salto Martínez-Avial. The stand was also visited by the Chiefs of Logistic Support of the three branches of the Spanish Armed Forces (MALE, AJAL, and MALOG), as well as several international delegations, such as those from Poland and Turkey, among others.

In the area of JISR (Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), GMV displayed the CSD SIERRA suite and the system for the storage and distribution of products for the project CSD Enduring Solution, awarded by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). Other command and control system and surveillance and reconnaissance systems were also highlighted, developed for the Ministry of Defense and international agencies, such as the TALOS program, the FRONTEX network, and the EUCCIS program.

Visitors to the exhibition got to know GMV’s capabilities in the development of critical software and the development of systems and equipment. Specifically, the SENDA navigation system, which will be fitted on the F-110 frigates, and the Armed Forces vehicle navigation and time system, ISNAV, which will be fitted on the VCR 8x8 DRAGON.

The Infantry Soldier System (SISCAP) was also presented. GMV’s participation in this project includes the development of the soldier’s primary computer, which controls energy distribution and manages the combatant’s optronics and visor sensor signals. GMV also displayed the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) Seeker, Solo and Passer.

GMV was also present as part of SATNUS SL at the stand of the European Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program. The SATNUS consortium (comprised of GMV, SENER and TECNOBIT) coordinates all activities in Spain for the Remote Operators Technology Pillar in the FCAS Next Generation Weapons system (NGWS).

GMV also takes part in the SMS initiative to increase strategic autonomy and national sovereignty in the area of critical military capabilities, as well as providing efficient support to the Armed Forces. As part of this initiative, FEINDEF was also an opportunity to sign a number of collaboration agreements between SMS and the companies AVIBRAS and INSTALAZA to work on the development and promotion of joint solutions in the area of missile systems, rockets and other high-performance guided munitions.
