Cobot, a pioneering collaborative arm for Cepsa’s laboratories

Automation of the laboratory’s sample disposal process with use of cobots to improve safety, efficiency and productivity

Analytical services at the La Rábida Energy Park (Palos de la Frontera, province of Huelva) have implemented a system for automating the sample evaluation process. It involves the first use case for the Cobot collaborative robot at Cepsa and its presence in the laboratory will allow human tasks to be refocused on other activities with greater added value. This will in turn increase productivity, safety and efficiency for the processes performed. This project represents a new innovation milestone, through which we will be making a contribution to promoting the circular economy.

The use case presented is being developed by Cepsa as the user, with GMV as technological partner.
