Resilient Navigation: Main theme of the European Navigation Conference

ENC

From 21 to 24 May, GMV took part in the European Navigation Conference (ENC) at ESA’s European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The conference focused on Resilient Navigation, exploring the latest advancements in navigation systems and strategies to mitigate both current and anticipated vulnerabilities, as well as other factors enhancing system resilience.

The Conference also served as a platform for researchers, professionals, and industry experts to discuss and share knowledge on various aspects of navigation. This included satellite navigation systems such as GPS, Galileo, EGNOS, GLONASS, and BeiDou, along with other related technologies.

The European Navigation Conference featured several presentations and sessions by industry experts, with GMV highlighted as a world leader in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). The company delivered 15 presentations in different panels at the event. GMV hosted its own stand, where it provided visitors with information about the GSharp product and showcased some of its latest projects. These included LEGION, the LEO PNT mission demonstrator (with ESA as the end client), various receivers (G2TUR-N and G2TUR-P for the PRS service), and the G2RFCS simulator, designed for the second generation of Galileo.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, GMV has made satellite navigation a cornerstone of its activities, becoming a key player in implementing Europe’s satellite navigation strategy. GMV’s expertise and the experience of its professional teams have positioned the company at the forefront of navigation system development and various GNSS applications. GMV has been a pioneer in the use of GPS, GLONASS, EGNOS, and Galileo signals.
