Actualidad Económica’s 100 Best Ideas The virtual reality arthroscopy training simulator, Insight, developed by GMV, was selected as one of the “100 Best Ideas of the Year” in 2007 by the journal Actualidad Económica in its 30th edition. 2007 Computing Award for ICT Initiatives The magazine Computing recognized the Directorate General for the Cadastre for the development of the Advanced Perimeter Security Environment created by GMV. Europe’s 500 2007 GMV received the Europe’s 500 award, placing the company among the 500 companies with the greatest growth in 2007 due to its significant growth and job creation over the previous 3 years. 2007 National Security and Emergencies Awards Osmograph, the system developed by GMV that determines the olfactory area covered by search and rescue dogs, received the Award for the Best Product in Safety, Emergencies and Road Safety as part of the Second Edition of the National Security and Emergencies Awards. University Company Award GMV received the 2007 University Company Award in the Technological Innovation category for its Insight product. This award recognizes companies with innovative products or processes that are the result of prolonged collaboration with the University or Technological Research & Development entities. e-Mobility The application of GPS technology for livestock farming developed by GMV in collaboration with the University of Extremadura was recognized with one of the 2006 e-Mobility awards. Europe’s 500 2006 GMV received the Europe’s 500 award for the company's exceptional employment growth over the three previous years, which placed it among the top 500 companies with the most growth in 28 European countries. FEMAN Award for Business Innovation The Confederation of Business Owners of Madrid (CEIM) recognized GMV in 2006 with the Award for Business Innovation for its continuing work in innovation and as a leading tech company. Global Road Achievement Award 2006 The International Road Federation (IRF) recognized GMV’s Intelligent Transportation Systems subsidiary for the Moviloc project with the 2006 Global Road Achievement Award in the traffic management and intelligent transportation systems category.
